Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I tried to like this since it had great reviews, but it tasted like an overly-sweetened hamburger and broke apart easily.

It was alright, but would have been better if the tenders had been fried and the sauce wasn't so sweet. I decreased the sugar as suggested in previous reviews, but it was still too sweet for my tastes.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Soft and taste great! awesome with dried cranberries. I only gave 4 stars since it's nearly identical to the recipe on the quaker oats lid.

Tortilla Rollups II

These were edible, but my guest didn't really take to them. I think maybe the cream cheese taste was too dominant. If I ever made them again, I'd probably use half cream cheese and half sour cream.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Delicious and tender. I didn't have any wine, so I used beef broth. I also didn't want to go to the store to buy balsalmic vinegar (I've never used it before), but I did have the balsalmic-type salad dressing which I used... still turned out delicious. Took longer to cook than what the recipe stated, but I cooked it on a low temp.

Peanut Butter Pie 2000

Easy, simple recipe, but too sweet for my tastes. I did make it without milk, however (I didn't realize I was out of milk when I went to the grocery store for all of the other ingredients) :-)

Oven Beef Stew

I didn't use this recipe exactly, but since I don't have a slow cooker, I needed something I could make in the oven in a regular pot. I browned and seasoned the meat first (without adding the flour), then I added a bag of already-prepared stew veggies to the meat in the pot, water, beef bullion cubes, beef stew seasoning mix, and a can of crushed tomatoes and cooked it on 350 for 1 hr. It was quick to prepare that way and tastes great! :-)

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

I halved the water, but it still came out pretty good. I overdid the chocolate though (the cocoa powder), but that was my fault. The mix didn't look dark enough to me at first. lol

Self-Filled Cupcakes II

These didn't turn out for me at all. Maybe it was the egg... if I try them again, I'll just use cream cheese with some sugar and try it that way. I also added different extracts to these, so that made them better... I made half with rum extract and half with peppermint extract. If anything else, I love chocolate and peppermint.

Sorry, but this recipe didn't turn out for me at all. The texture was more like a brownie, yet it had a "sour" taste. I won't be making it again.

Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding

Sorry, but this didn't turn out for me at all. It ended up looking like just rice floating in milk, even after I cooked it past the 20 minutes. Maybe it would've turned out if I used less milk.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies VII

I boiled the raisins prior to adding them, halved the sugar, and had to use all-purpose flour instead of the self-rising. I thought the cookie was too "cake-like", but my boyfriend loves them.

Garlic Bubble Ring

Great recipe! I spiced it up a bit though, added chicken broth seasoning and some italian dressing (I get creative. lol). I overdid the oil a little, but it didn't deter from the taste. I used a bread dough recipe from the site which ended up being too sweet, even with that, the garlic bread came out nice.

Amish White Bread

I used all-purpose flour since I didn't have bread flour. Overall, it was a good bread; however, way too sweet, even after I halved it. Still, the dough would work well for cinnamon rolls or a dessert bread.

Onion Quiche

I'm not really fond of eggs, but I decided I should try something new. I made this and added chicken, mushrooms, and mozarella cheese (along with the onions). It's good with hot sauce and a little sour cream, but it's not something I'd probably ever have a craving for.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

I made these cinnamon rolls last night because I was craving cinnamon rolls and I wanted something that was quick and easy to make (I'm not that great of a cook, actually). The only change I made was that I cooked them on a cookie sheet and not as suggested in the recipe. I only made 6 cinnamon rolls (I cut the recipe down) since only my bf and I live here and I don't want us to turn into porkers. lol Anyhoot, he loved the cinnamon rolls, so I'm making more now to bring to a party we're going to tomorrow. This recipe is easy to make and tastes great!!!
