I love baking desserts and dinners from scratch if I can. I love using fresh ingredients and try to use veggies and herbs I grow myself. Every year, we cook something non-traditional for Christmas. And for the past few years we've done different regional themes. I once stayed up really late making the pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving from scratch. The next day my brother-in-law discovered I had forgotten to put the honey in(Which I was using in place of sugar). He was nice enough to still eat it, though he covered it in whipped cream!
