Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

BEST...THANKSGIVING...SIDE...EVER!!! I did as others suggested and mixed 1/2 the cheese and some French's Fried Onions in with fresh green beans. I also put some of the Fried Onions on top. Can't wait for Christmas. Won't ever touch the other green bean casserole again!

A complete waste of time. People, don't do it!!! It's a pasty mess and a waste of wonderful ingredients! A boxed rice product will be more satisfying!

French Dip Sandwiches

I guess I didn't do it right, but the meat did not shred. I had to carve it with a knife. While it wasn't horrible, it certainly wasn't 4.5 star worthy. I'll use all of the leftover au jus to make onion soup - hopefully it will be worth all the trouble of this dish...

Basil Vinaigrette Dressing

It was easy to make and dressed our salad perfectly. I used less oil than was called for and thought it was still good. Any more and it might have been to heavy. Give it a go!

White Bean Dip with Pine Nuts

Easy and delicious appetizer dip! Good with pita chips and fresh veggies. A nice alternative to hummus. Maybe next time I'll stir in some chopped artichoke.

Maine Lobster Lasagna

I've been searching for a lasagna that used seafood but not tomato sauce and this is it, for sure! Not for the diet conscious, but definitely the best recipe out there. As per another reviewer's suggestion, I used the recipe for quick and easy alfredo sauce from this site and this lasagna turned out spectacular! Would give it higher stars if I could!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Simple to make and decadent. Brought it to the inlaws for Christmas Eve and my mother-in-law wouldn't less us take any home :( The only reason there was some left was because we were only 5 adults and this easily serves 16. Serve with fresh raspberries on top and a dollop of whipped cream. To die for!

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Phenomenal recipe. Followed as best I could except I didn't reserve the water so I substituted with chicken broth. It was plenty thick, you just have to cook it down until it's creamy prior to adding milk. Then you have to cook it until it's thick again prior to adding the broccoli.

Gerry's Chicken Enchiladas

This recipe tasted good, but wasn't worth the time it took to create it. I realize that the person who submitted it acknowledged that it wasn't easy, but it took an entire afternoon to get these ready. If you live near a decent Mexican restaurant, you could be there and back before these are ready...I'm sure there's a better enchilada recipe out there for me.

Penne and Vodka Sauce

I was looking for an easy, inexpensive pasta dish to serve on a buffet at a large gathering (instead of baked ziti) and I tried this. What a find! I've used it three times already and the party isn't for two more weeks. The pancetta makes it special! A definite keeper and an allrecipes.com greatest hit!
