Mama was a great Southern cook - some of my favorites are chicken & dumplings, bean soup, fried chicken, and chicken pot pie. I also love to make Grandma's recipes for green tomato pie, and "hot dish" (a Minnesota tradition). I've always had luck at roasting turkeys! I love to cook for a crowd - Thanksgiving is my favorite cooking day. Tried to make a vegetarian dish in the crockpot once - no good. I guess I'm not cut out to be a vegetarian!
