About this Cook
I love to cook, but I am very busy and on a tight budget. I am in college right now on my way to becoming a Birth-Kindergarten teacher. I am a house wife and have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old daughter and a 8 month old son !! I do 99.5% of the cooking and cleaning. So as you can see, I am very busy and this website helps out a lot! Half the time I don't know what's for dinner until I come to this website!:)
My favorite things to cook
I love sweets but my husband does not. I like to cook just about everything. I like to try new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a couple of them. One of them my husband and I started. Every year for Christmas we bake and decorate a birthday cake for Jesus:) The second one would be my Mom and I baking for our church fellowship dinners!:) My Mom and I will be baking all weekend long! 98% of what I make, the recipes come from this website:)
My cooking triumphs
Making anything that my husband will eat without complaining. He is such a picky eater!
My cooking tragedies
Tragedies? What tragedies..who told?!

Hearty Split Pea Soup
This was okay, I think next time I make it I will not add the bay leaves. Their flavor kind of over powered the dish. I love the idea of cooking it in a slow cooker and adding milk at the end. Thanks for sharing!!

Jalapeno-Garlic-Onion Cheeseburgers
Oh my gosh, this is the best burger recipe ever!! I added 1-2 tbs salsa and I took the patties and made them really thin. I placed a slice of American cheese on one of the thin patties and then placed another thin patty on top. I pan fried them and they were so tastey, good and juicy!! My husband said that swiss cheese would have worked well too. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome recipe!!

Easy Shake and Bake Chicken
I like how with this recipe you can use any seasonings that you want to. I think the chicken turned out pretty tastey and juicy. Thanks for sharing.
