I also did half shortening and half butter and brushed with warm melted butter before baking. Instead of kneading, I dropped them on the baking sheet and the family devoured them. They were the most moist biscuits I've ever made. Will make for our holiday meals. Thanks for the recipe.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

I've tried this recipe 2x and both times was disappointed. There wasn't much flavor which was surprising because it sounded good. It ruined good sirloin steaks. I won't try this again.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Forget about Campbells Tomato Soup. This will be a staple in our house from now on. I followed other viewer's suggestions and added a little milk at the end. It so good and creamy and will be the only tomato soup I'll eat.

Jalapeno Hot Sauce

I purchased a basket of jalapenos at a cheap price but didn't know exactly what to do with them. Then I found this recipe. My family has used this sauce on nachos, french fries, chicken and burgers. We absolutely love it. Great recipe.

Flatlander Chili

Wow! Very good chili. Instead of using tomato jice and tomato sauce, I used fresh tomatoes. I took other viewer's suggestions and increased chili powder and ground cayenne. This is my new chili recipe. Thanks.

Quick Coffee Cake

It really is quick and also delicious. In taking other viewer's advice, I drizzled the melted butter over the topping. Will definitely make again and again.

A Marinade To Die For

Baking Powder Biscuits I

I make these at least 1x a month. They are great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I no longer buy frozen biscuits. What makes these taste even better is adding softened butter to the mixture before baking.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Christmas morning was a real treat for my family. This breakfast casserole was superb. Following suggestions, I checked at 30 minutes, added more eggs (total 8), used sharp cheese, 1 chopped onion and omitted the salt. In place of the ground pork, I used turkey sausage. What a treat!

Awesome Roast Beef

Can't get any easier than this. I took suggestions and added regular uncondensed beef broth, carrots, celery, potatoes. Great on a cold winter's night.

Crab Dip

Parmesan Spinach Balls

This was a big hit at my housewarming party - everyone was asking for the recipe. In the past 3 months, I've made it 3 times. The only changes I made was cutting back on the bread crumbs by 1 cup and in the place of salt & pepper, I used season-all, cayenne pepper and 1 clove garlic as suggested by another reviewer.

Manhattan Meatballs

I've never been much of a fan of sweet & sour meatballs but wow, these are delicious. Instead of the pineapple preserves I mixed KC Masterpiece with a bottle of sweet & sour sauce.

Beth's Tex Mex Dip

Love this dip! Served it as an appetizer for Christmas and what a hit. Everybody raved about it. I did take the suggestion about using jalapenos instead of green chile peppers (1/2 can), using 1/2 pkt taco seasoning mix and adding 1/2 c. mayo.

Cube Steak Parmesan

I'm always looking for recipes using cube steak. I finally found it. Using other suggestions, I substituted bread crumbs for the saltines and spaghetti sauce for the tomato sauce. Very good!

Chicken Alfredo

Awesome! Family absolutely loved it. My kids compared this to the chicken alfredo served at Olive Garden. I did take the suggestion of one reviewer by adding more milk and garlic powder. I also added coarse ground pepper and parmesan cheese. Another recipe that will be added to my collection. Thanks.
