About this Cook
I am a daughter, mother, and wife. I have 2 beautiful daughters, the first is Aurora, 2, and my baby Anastasia. I have the best husband in the world!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking sweets and treats. Cookies are my favorite thing to make. I cook dinner every night (most) and enjoy finding new things to cook. I try to expose my 2 year old to different flavors and foods as much as possible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies are traditional in my home. I learned to bake cookies with my aunt Von, whom I adore, as a child. I bake tons of cookies at Christmas time. I average about 12 kinds between Thanksgiving and Christmas now that I have children.
My cooking triumphs
Honest? Pork Tenerloin. Never even tasted it but someone gave me one and now I'm hooked. Love it.
My cooking tragedies
Making dinner for husband when we where first dating. The gas pilot whent out on the stove. The cream corn was expired in the can. And I forgot to get milk for the mac n' cheese. We ate out.

White Chocolate Amaretto Cake
This cake is as good as it looks! I made it as called for in the recipe but I did forget the sliced almonds. I will be making this again!

Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Tortilla Chips
Very good and colorful. I made it for a family function and was asked for the recipe by two people. I baked the chips but only needed to cook them for about 8 min. Will definately make again, and a great idea for pot lucks.

Hash Brown Casserole II
This is one of our family's favs. We don't normally use the cornflakes. It is also great with diced ham mixed in to make it a main dish. Also try it with the hash browns that are mixed with peppers, it's great!
