Snow Angel Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This is excellent Snow Ice Cream! I used my mixer and add the snow into the bowl at the end. I used raspberry preserves, since I did not have frozen berries. This turned out fancy enough to serve at a party or a nice restaurant!

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
This recipe was great! My family admitted they didn't think it was going to be good but after one serving they were asking for seconds. I didn't have steak so I used Chicken breasts instead. It turned out to be a keeper.

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
I made this for Christmas and thought it turned out great! It looked like the picture and tasted wonderful, however the large group I made it for didn't like it. Guess they are still stuck on the Canned Cranberry tradition. Maybe a good idea to introduce this to the traditional types by providing both styles! I give it 5 stars for thinking outside the box or in this case....the can!!!!

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I choose this recipe for a last minute party at my house. I was nervous because I had never cooked salmon before and I didn't have time to marinate. I made the marinade, replacing sesame & peanut oil with olive oil. I poured it over the salmon fillets in a tinfoil pouch and placed it on the grill. I did not turn the fillets during cooking. It was the best salmon I had ever had. My guests raved, comparing it to an orchestra of flavors. Thanks for sharing!!!

Pork Scaloppini with Mustard Creme

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
Modified this recipe after reading comments. Doubled the sauce recipe, adding twice the lime juice and leaving out the allspice. I added other seasoning I like instead. I used a red wine instead of Vermouth because that's what I had. I also added Panko to my flour. Served over noodles. IT WAS AWESOME! I will be coming back to this recipe many more times! Thanks

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
This is a great recipe! I added beef bacon pieces and smoked salmon. I had to substitute in sour cream for the heavy cream because I was out. Then, I poured it over a 7 cheese tortellini. It was a HUGE HIT!! Served with a fresh salad for a quick & easy dinner.

Lentil and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
This soup was excellent! I used a 14 bean mix. I did soak the beans prior and pressure cooked for 30 mins to speed up the process. The flavor was wonderful. Added a dash of hot sauce and kick it up a little too.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
This was a great dinner recipe. I bypassed baking and cooked chicken in a pan to make the process quicker. I added sun dried tomatoes into the sauce and a little lemon juice. I used italian seasoning (didn't have the dressing packet handy) then poured the sauce over the chicken and brought to a boil. Served over noodles. Yummy!

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This was a good start to lentil soup recipe, but needs something much more. My husband loves soups but didn't even get 25% ate. He pushed it aside and said it lacked flavor. Kids didn't eat much either. I will be back on the hunt for a new lentil soup recipe

I made this with regular sugar (didn't have Splenda). It turned out great. I will use this recipe again but may use other fruits, such as peaches or apples. A great low calorie dessert!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Just as good as they look! The dough was a bit sticky to work with, but totally worth it. I dipped a fork in sugar to flatten them before baking. It seemed to keep the dough from stickying to everything else.

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
This recipe is going into my top 10 favorite pasta recipes with some modifications. I followed others advice and added onions, sauteed with the spinach. Then I added several colors of chopped bell peppers toward the end of the saute portion of the recipe, along with red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. In addition, I substitute penne with a small sea shell pasta for a little fun. Not only is the dish taste great, it is very vibrant in color and texture.

Spicy Three Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
Excellent Hummus recipe! I did add 1/4 cup minced red bell pepper and substitued 1 can of navy beans (I didn't have 2 cans of garbanzo beans). I think I prefer the bean combo, it makes for a creamier hummus. Every bit as good as the spicy Sabra Hummus that I was buying. I serve this with Kangaroo Garden Herb Pita Chips. YUMMY!

Easy Chicken Fajita Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Wonderful and Versatle Soup! I increase the broth 2 more cups and added 1 cup of rice just before I simmered for 30 mins. It made in great! I also added chopped jalepenos and diced hot cherry peppers instead of the poblano pepper. Mainly because I do not have poblanos. I copied one reviews idea and add garlic powder too. This recipe is for sure going into my favorites!

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
Let me say this is one of the BEST RECIPES I have used on allrecipes! I did not realize I would be making the recipe into a roll until I was half way thru the recipe. I hesitated but decided to stay true to the recipe. I am soooo... glad I did. The dish was beautiful and flavorful. This is not your momma's cobbler! I took this to a large potluck and it was a huge hit.
