Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

I love this recipe for it's simplicity and flavor. I have limited experience making sweets and my first batch turned out great. I did use chopped pecans instead of almonds. I also followed the advice of prior reviewers and did not stir the toffee after it started to boil. Very Good!!

Baked Brie with Caramelized Onions

I made this recipe for the first time and followed the directions exactly. I was mildly pleased. If I make again I will chop onions and apples. Slices were to large and overwhelmed everything else. I would only prepare 1/2 an onion and omit the garlic. (atleast in this form) I am a garlic lover but this was way to much.

Wilted Spinach Salad

Excellent recipe. READ Carefully. The last 2 eggs/sauce mixture is added to bacon grease on burner and simmered. I simmered for much longer than 1 minute to get the sauce right (about 3min). The sauce turns out great and eggs are cooked.

Bavarian Chops

I modified this recipe for a bit more flavor. With the modifications, it was excellent. I added diced red onions, fresh tomato chunks, lime juice, and pepper flakes. I added spices to the flour used to coat pork. I add the extra 4oz of beer to the noodles as they boiled. Pork was tender and flavor was great. (note - to reduce calories, I used a low cal margarine in place of butter) This will be a new favorite for my family

Great batter and the dip was good too. I ended up frying the onion petals seperated. I couldn't get my onion to hold together. I will use again and on other veggies.

Light and Spicy Fish

Two Thumbs up! I loved it because it was simple, quick and had a lot of flavor without the calories. I used salsa and hot sauce for an extra kick. Will definately be making again!!!!

Baked Spaghetti I

I added a few spices as suggested. But overall, it's not even as exciting as my normal spaghetti recipe & it's twice the prep. time. Reminds me of something you would get from the school cafeteria. Hearty, filling, but blah..My vote..most sustaining!

Onion Elk Roast Stroganoff

This was excellent. I substituted leftover steak for the elk roast and used jasmine rice adding a tablespoon of sourcream on top of each serving w/ a dash of paprika. It was the best dinner we have had in awhile.

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

My steaks turned out good and I had good reviews from the family. However, I didn't read down the comments in time to omit the salt. With all the other ingredients containing salt there was NO need for 2 TBS salt. Would recommend little or no salt be added. Overall very tasty without being overpowering.
