About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
For Christmas Eve every year my family makes Swedish Rice. All of the cousins take turns making it and everyone has to eat it (even if its just a taste).
My cooking triumphs
I recently made a standing rib roast with gravy and yorkshire pudding! I had no idea that I was going to be making it (my mum was out so I had too!) and it came out alright! Now I feel like I can make anything!
My cooking tragedies
I was trying to make an Alfredo sauce from scratch and it just came out horrible! There was no saving it and it tasted disgusting.

Chicken and Dumplings III
This was much better than expected! I used 3 pieces of boneless breast chicken, and I put two chicken bullion cubes in with the water. I only had two cans cream of chicken which looked odd at first but ended up being creamy thick and delicious. I added in black pepper, salt, and all seasoning and next time I will leave out the salt. I had mixed vegetables on the side, but mixing them in would really add a little something. The biscuits I used were Pillsbury Grands and I didn't have room in the pot to put in all of them. Overall, I will definitely make this again! The boyfriend absolutely loved it!

Chip Chicken Lollipops
I was really excited to try this recipe, although a little skeptical. After reading all of the reviews I decided to go for it and it came out fantastic! I did follow the advice of others and I seasoned the chicken before dipping them in the egg mixture and chips. Make sure you crunch up the chips into really small pieces so they stick to the chicken. I put mine on a plate and covered it with a tea towel and used a meat cleaver to do the smashing! I also made mine into strips and let out the skewers. I can't wait to try different chip flavours! Cape Cod Originals are good for a basic!

Ziti Chicken and Broccoli
This was so good and easy to make. I did make some substitutions--> whipping cream instead of heavy (what was on hand), minced garlic instead of hand chopping it, and I added a lot of extra cornstarch and I mixed it with water before adding it in so it wouldn't be lumpy. I used chicken legs and thighs and cooked them in some olive oil instead of breading them. I also used linguine and it came out delish!
