I'm retired. No grandchildren (sigh!) but great kids and their spouses. We're best of friends. Love living in semi rural Georgia near University of Georgia in Athens. Grew up in a university town. Encourage my artist husband to get back to the easel while I cook for him! Southern, Italian (esp. pizza) and I've finally perfected my pasta sauce to my liking. Also have gotten very interested in bread baking - without a bread machine. Like to cook healthful recipes that are low glycemic. Always enjoy trying new recipes with my own twist. Southern Baked my favorite pound cake which I've made many, many times. Had relatives coming, but a friend distracted me. Cake flopped. Had to get a bakery cake. yuk!!
