40 years of cooking has dulled my enthusiasm. Hence signing on to All Recipes
My favorite things to cook
Anything baked - from breads to roasts to desserts
My favorite family cooking traditions
I was brought up in a meat and potato enviroment. But with 40 years of marriage to a wonderful man from the sub-continent, I have honed my skills with a chili or 10. Chapatis, puris parathas and naans are fun to make
My cooking triumphs
Few and far between. Most probably though naans and piyah( a really delicious East Indian dish) made from lamb or goat's feet, legs and meat. Now don't shake your head in disbelief. It is really devine, inexpensive to make, feeds the herd, has to be made ahead and you should sop up the broth with home made naan. I have entertained 50+ with this one dish meal which hasn't broken the bank. I even make the naans ahead of time. So I can be somewhat out of the kitchen and enjoy our friends. And nobody's complained or died yet
My cooking tragedies
Well let me tell you - Have you got several hours????
