I am a proud mom of a little girl who is very interested in learing how to cook and always offers to help in the kitchen! I am married to a wonderful man who will eat anything I put in front of him, thank God! I learned to cook from my mom and granny, who I think (so does the rest of the family)are wonderful cooks! Hmmmm....I love to cook traditional Southern food. I love trying new recipes from different parts of the world! I love to cook (and eat) Mexican food! My mom and I bake pies together at Thanksgiving. We bake several different kinds using her mother's recipes from buttermilk to chocolate, pecan and pumpkin! It is a lot of fun. Hopefully my daughter will want to help this year! I don't know how much of a tradition it is, but one of my friends and I always cook the food for our friends birthdays, showers, etc. We have so much fun cooking together! Anything is a triumph that is edible!!! I cook for friends and family and am purely satisfied when I hear how much they enjoyed something I made. Oh, well, most recently crab cakes that would NOT stick together. I was trying to make a nice dinner for the hubby. It tasted great, but was more of a crab scramble than anything!
