I've made this cake three times. This version is an absolute winner. My co-workers devoured it. I sifted cake flour, baking powder and salt together instead of using all purpose flower. Allowed the cake to absorb the milk for 36 hours before frosting. Added vanilla and confectioners sugar to the frosting. Served atop a drizzle of strawberry sauce (strawberries, sugar, vanilla - cooked, pureed and strained). Moist but not too wet. Fabulous!
