About this Cook
I am a teenager who loves to bake and sometimes cook. I mostly bake cookies.
My cooking tragedies
a purple blueberry muffin. I didn't really take the time to read the recipe so I accidentally messed up. Lol, now I always try to read the recipe clearly.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
This was my first time making mashed potatoes and so it was a little confusing. I forgot to look at the cook time so I was standing in front of the stove wondering when the potatoes would be done. Anyway, for the garlic, Mine took forever to brown, which is weird compared to everyone else. The mashed potatoes just tasted like potatoes... not like the type i ate in restaurants so i was a little disappointed. I didn't add any cheese because of everyone's advice. It was really easy to "mash" it though.

Banana Bread I
I really liked this banana bread! My dad tasted it and I asked him if he liked this one better or the one that I made last week. He said that he liked this one because it has more flavor and is pretty moist. I added an extra banana because I wanted to finish all the bananas I had, so I used 4 bananas total. Then I also added a little more flour, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. The result was very good. It only took around 40 minutes to bake the one loaf and 20 minutes to bake the "cupcakes". This is a great recipe. Btw, I rated it a 4 because I used some other ingredients too.

Ham and Swiss Braid
I think it was pretty good. My family said that they liked it. I used 2 and 1/2 teaspoons of yeast because I DID NOT know what type of yeast I was using (it was from Taiwan and there was no label lol). Anyway, it was pretty nice. The braiding was really fun and easy to do. For people who don't understand the instructions, here is what I did, I first rolled it into a rectangle. Second, I cut off the corners of ONE of the shorts sides. And then, I cut the strips and placed the ham onto the middle. Then I just "braided" it by lifting up each strip one by one, alternating each time. So I first did one side, then another side. I also had to bake it longer because the bread's inside was still kind of raw. I really recommend this recipe though. Oh, I also omitted the pickles. Good luck!
