About this Cook
I'm a young newlywed who loves to cook and bake! My husband's friends always love coming over our house because there's always food! I work at a Fortune 130 company in Corporate Communications. On the weekends, I also help phototgraph weddings for Steve Lata Photography based out of St. Louis, MO. http://www.stevelataphotography.com/
My favorite things to cook
I love to experiment with anything. My husband says I can never just follow a recipe!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year, my family makes perogis either around Christmas or Easter. I've recently started making Babka and homemade butter too. Polish traitions are the best!

Mint Chicken
This chicken was great! The name sounds a little scary, but it was an awesome, fresh taste. I'd reduce the butter a little bit though. Tip: before you squeeze your lemon, put it in hot water for a few minutes, then roll between your hands. You'll get the most juice this way.

Cake Balls
I finally got a chance to make these last night. They weren't as difficult as everyone made them sound. They're a little time consuming, but not too bad. Instead of a whole can of frosting, I used about half. I used devil's food cake, chocolate frosting dipped in melted dark chocolate wafers that you buy in the candy section at Michael's. I also bought the cheap chocolate dipping set that worked nicely. Very yummy! My husband isn't a big sweet eater, but he liked them a lot!

Candy Coated Pecans
These pecans are delicious. Per another reviewer's suggestion, I added cinnamon/sugar and honey to the mix -- nice addition. I didn't beat my egg white long enough though, so it took longer for these to bake.
