All American Apple Pie
I thought this was a great pie. I hate making traditional pastry and rolling it out. The bottom crust was surprisingly simple and came out flaky. I used Cortland apples and brown sugar in the filling and crumble. I used a glass pie plate and put it on a stone pan in the oven. I thought it would fall apart but the pieces came out nicely only about 20 min out of the oven. My husband says he prefers traditional apple pie but as the cook, this will become my preferred apple pie dessert.
