Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Maybe it was my cranberries but mine was a little bit so I just added about a 1/4 cup more sugar. I also cooked it with a cinnamon stick. It was delicious and made a nice jelly texture. Very good recipe.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
My friend and I both made this recipe and I used heavy cream instead of milk and striped the top with marshmellows and pecan streusel. Mine came out incredible, and my friend said hers burned. I added the marshmellows 15 mins into cooking time. GREAT delicious recipes.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

I don't understand the negative reviews.. I did have to half the cheese and I actually forgot to put salt and pepper and it still tasted fine. I added water chestnuts too. We really enjoyed this dish, and the flavor was spot on. (mine coulda used a lil salt tho) ;-)

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Instead of bananas I added half a cup of pumpkin puree along with a pinch of nutmeg, ginger, and a 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. Came out delicious!

I didn't have graham cracker crumbs so I had to use oreo crumbs, but I will agree that they were a bit too greasy. However, everything tasted good together in combination (I think it would have def been better with graham cracker crumbs, less butter or more crumbs to avoid all the greasy texture) Delish otherwise!

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Yummy, although I don't think it would have been as good without the 2 tablespoons of pesto and 1/4 cup of shredded parmesean I added to it. Thank you for the recipe =)

Joey's Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I have made this atleast 3 times cause it's a major hit with my friends. I can't bring myself to put in 12 eggs so I always put in 8. I also don't like the overly potent smell of vanilla so I only add about 2 tablespoons. I put extra extra cinnamon and extra nutmeg on top. Very wonderful recipe, I love it and make it every time we have family come in or an event to go to.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
If you're looking for the perfect chocolate chip recipe, trust me, try this one. My first batch was a little to thick so flattening it the second time around I found to be difficult because the batter is so sticky, so I sprayed non stick spray on the bottom of a glass cup and flattened them that way. They are perfectly crisp on the outside and perfectly chewy on the outside.

Fluffy Pancakes

Wow, these were incredible. I really like how it doesn't call for a lot of sugar or vanilla. Pancakes should be minimally flavored so the syrup can do it's job.. sweetening! These were really good. Thanks for the great recipe!

Southern Peach Cobbler

uhhh... WOWZERS! I'm from TX and down here we're picky about peach cobbler. This was easy to make and came out delicious! Could use some fresh sliced peaches in there but all in all was awesome! Plus, I supervised while my 7 y/o literally made the entire thing on her own.

Pancakes I

I personally prefer flat pancakes and really liked how these came out. I also like how this recipe doesn't call for vanilla. I think that adding sugar and vanilla can take the opportunity away from the syrup give it that sweet kick. I have FINALLY found my ideal pancake recipe. THANK YOU!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
This is a great base for a chicken noodle casserole. Needs some peas or something green (added 1/2 cup of frozen peas). Browned the chicken with seasonings vs boiling it. Omitted cream of chicken and instead used half a can of cream of mushroom and half a can of cream of onion. Added a cup of shredded colby mix cheese with 1/2 a cup of half and half into the entire mixture. Topped with more shredded cheese and italian bread crumbs (too lazy to make the butter/cracker mixture although I'm sure it's worth it!)Came out SO yummy. And left enough for leftovers for me and the hubby. Thank you Dawne! :-)

Garden Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
I hate to give this 3 stars, but if you really use TWO 16 oz bottles of italian dressing, half your salad will be floating in it. That's why I love this website so much because the reviews give you a heads up not to add a second one. Also, I was kinda surprised that black olives were not included in the ingredients. They're kind of is a must for a tri color pasta salad.

I couldn't imagine eating it warm. Cold is definitely better. Added about a 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion really helped out the flavor.

Dilly Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
For some reason my husband didn't want me to add sour cream and wanted me to keep the vinegar mixture in as other recipes suggested, so I did. Half way thru the life of the salad, I added some sour cream and it was the most exceptional twist on making this salad complete. Even my husband admitted it was better with the sour cream!

For some reason, I rebelled and added a cup of sugar instead of 3/4 a cup. Mistake! Was too sweet. If i'd of done it right, it would have been perfect. that constant sweet tooth of mine.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I cut this recipe by 1/3 and it was perfect for breakfast for me and my husband with some bacon. I wouldn't add vanilla cause the tang of the batter is what makes it special, plus vanilla tends to make pancakes thin and runny. Delicious the way it is. Thanks for the great recipe!
