Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Scones

more like a c.c. muffin than the type of scone I was after. Too much almond extract as well, next time I'll use less. They have a good chocolate taste and were pretty quick and easy so I might make again.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

great taste, my boyfriend really liked them. Mine didn't crack for some reason, but they were starting to brown around the edges so i took them out. Going to try again soon!

Sugar Cookie Frosting

extremely easy to make and really smooth! Tastes great..I thought it was sweet but not sickeningly sweet. I used it to ice sugar cookies. I added some cocoa to make choc. icing and it turned out great! Didn't harden as much as i wanted but oh well!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

followed the recipe exactly and also chilled the dough for more than an hour and it was still a sticky mess. I had to add a lot of flour to be able to work with it, so i think that messed with the taste of it. It did bake nicely 8-9 mins. I ended up icing them to give them more flavor. Probably won't make again.

Pear Zucchini Bread

The bread was really moist, I'll give you that, but my boyfriend and I both thought it wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad, but with all the ingredients and work involved, it's just not worth it.

Chocolate Ganache

I'm not sure, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing, but my ganache never really set up on my cake. I followed the recipe minus the rum but I couldn't get it to really harden like I wanted it to. It was delicious though and did make the cake seem extra special so I'd probably do it again.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

A great base recipe. Used as a starting point for my frosting. I made a double batch: 1 c. butter, 2 c. PB and then added the sugar to taste with just enough milk to make it spreadable. People raved about it, not too sweet and not so much peanut butter that it tastes like it's straight from the jar. I got asked for the recipe but I might just keep it my little secret :D

Best Ever Chocolate Fudge Layer Cake

I made this cake for my dad's birthday. The only substitution I made was to add chopped up peanut butter cups instead of the chocolate since I was using PB frosting. I made it using 2 8" pans and it was fine, took 35 mins. The batter is VERY thick, like brownie batter. They did puff up in the oven quite a bit but flattened nicely when cooled. Everyone really liked it, it was very moist. Not a lot of fudgey chocolate flavor but that might have been due to competing with the peanut butter. Will definitely make this again, maybe trying a different frosting.
