About this Cook
I'm 20 years old, and I have recently moved out on my own. I work at a state park here in Florida and I love the outdoors. I never did have much interest for cooking until I moved out. I am just beginning to experience making new and exciting things and cooking is quickly becoming a hobbie.
My favorite things to cook
So far I really like cooking chicken and experimenting with different spices/sauces. And plus, it's super easy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is very Italian, and so therefore we always cook a lot of pasta. We have countless recipes and I love making them. But lately I've tried to branch away from that type of cooking because it is so fattening and not very healthy.
My cooking triumphs
I don't have any spectacular ones yet!
My cooking tragedies
Sadly, I have accidently made home-made mac and cheese with Crisco! I mistakingly thought the crisco stick was a butter stick and plopped it in! I had no idea why it smelled so weird until I tasted it!

Zesty Tuna Salad
I really liked this recipe! But after making it, I thought that I'd put my own spin on things by adding noodles. I used the same ingredients (except I almost tripled them) added a little (about 1 tbs) of lemon juice, vinegar, canola oil, and onion powder, sprinkled cheese on top, and then added the mixture to spiral noodles. I chilled in the fridge for about two hours. It was excellent!

Cream Cheese, Garlic, and Chive Stuffed Chicken
In my opinion, there wasn't enough flavor. The bacon gave it a lot of flare, but that was about it. A lot of the cream cheese oozed out of the chicken when I was cooking it. It could have been a lot better.

Chickpea Salad II
Really tasty! The only thing I would complain about would be that the vinegar was a little bit overpowering, so I doubled the cheese and it seemed to "dilute" it a little. Great recipe overall though! Will make again!
