Caramels I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
These have wonderful flavor and are relatively simple to make but the temp is a bit off. I cooked to the reco temp and mine are still a bit chewy but kind of hard (I was hoping for a softer candy) so next time I will test during the end stage rather than relying on the temperature. With some experimenting this will make for a nice solid recipe =))

So easy and so delicious on a baked sweet potato. I let mine set for about 3 hours and it had great flavor. Can't wait to try this on a bagel in the morning!!

Awesome Easy Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I started this recipe to a T and after an hour I still could not get the sauce to thicken so I ended up adding an extra cup of parm and it was the perfect consistency. It is a very tasty sauce and perfect with the bacon, chicken, and peas. I served over garlic chive pasta and DH just loved it.

Oatmeal Coconut Thin Crisps

When I made this recipe I had my doubts especially after reading some of the reviews, and then came the oven and they were spreading like CRAZY. They got brown took em out of the oven and tried one. They were very thin, crisp, and YUMMY!! They were a huge hit at work and probably the easiest cookie I have ever thrown together!!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These are very delicious. They also stay nice, moist, and soft. I used some pumpkin spice pudding instead of the vanilla and they were terrific. These would be wonderful with any kind of pudding in them I look forward to experimenting with different kinds.

Amazing Banana Sorbet

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
This tastes really good, however, I did follow the advice of Shorecook and used 3 cups of water instead of just 1 and the yellow food coloring (I got a bit carried away with it but thats okay) When I mixed it my youngest son had to have a bowl and he scarfed it down. I'm waiting for it to re-freeze so I can scoop mine out =)) A unique simple idea for over ripe bananas.

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This is one of those great jumping off point recipes. I used both the creme soups and added s&p (of course) some garlic powder, smoked paprika, and dried thyme. I needed this to be an all in one meal so I added some diced onions , mushrooms, and some spinach that needed to be used up. Tasted great served over egg noodles and was something easy for the DH to serve everyone for dinner.

Mom's Brown Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
This is an interesting way to fry potatos I ended up getting my pan to full out of sheer laziness of not wanting to do 2 batches but they still taste like a good fried tater. I did add some onions to mine (IMO it cant be fried taters without onion) and added garlic salt that had parsley flakes in it already. I really enjoyed the garlic salt on them and my 6yo went wild for them.

Ganache II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
This is some serious ganache =)) I used it as the filling and topping for a dark chocolate cake and it tastes really good with the frosting. I haven't had a slice of the entire thing as a whole yet because its for someones birthday tomorrow but did try it with the frosting and it is delish. I did use half and half with success.

Blueberry Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
These are quite good. I had a few raspberries in the freezer so I threw those in as well. I also only had a 12oz can of milk so I took the suggestion of Rae and took out 4tbs. I did use the glaze as per the recipe but next time think I will use Raes that she listed her for the creme cheese frosting. All in all a good solid recipe that tastes great as well as making the house smell great!!

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Very good use of the T-day leftover turkey!! The bites I had out of the pan were amazing and smelled so good while cooking. Only thing I did different was to use turkey base rather than the chicken bouillon because I had some leftover, haha =/. I stuck this in the freezer to eat later this week when I have to work late.
