About this Cook
Im just an average guy who grew up in So-Cal USA. I used to wake up early in the morning when i was about 8yrs old and cook some really great scrambled eggs for everyone in the family, and now im living in Dubai UAE and find myself keeping busy through the day making new dishes for the household. whether it be Apple Pie from scratch or Creme Brulee and cheesecake, im always looking to create something from the bare ingredients.
My favorite things to cook
my favorite thing to cook would probably be my grandmothers banana bread. i havnt tasted a better one yet. its not often that i make it, but when i do it never lasts long enough to cool.
My cooking triumphs
a NY cheesecake that just would not set. but when it finally did i was so happy and pleased it came out so white creamy and with no cracks. i get really excited when i surprise myself with making something i didnt think would turn out.
My cooking tragedies
well, the most recent one i can remember was last week when i thought i would take on the task of making two different types of breads at the same time. i was making a french baget and a challah bread. it took a long time with the hrs of letting the yeast rise and the rolling that when it was finally finished and in the oven i was so relieved. until i realized i forgot to set the timer. both loafs wern't burnt but they were very hard. to top it off i dropped the hot baking sheet on the floor and all was a waste.

Buckeyes I
these were very good, and quite easy to make, however they are EXTREMELY sweet. i think next time i will cut back on the amount of sugar or something. i could only eat a few and i am a sugar freak. be sure to make the balls really small so they arn't too overwhelming.
