I work in an Architecture firm in Atlanta, where I have lived since graduating from Georgia Tech in 2006.
My favorite things to cook
Anything I can toss into a pan and saute for a while...I like tossing things (literally, tossing into the pan) together as often as possible.
My cooking triumphs
On a few occasions I have had "nothing" in my pantry, so I threw random things in a dish and was pleasantly surprised. My first Asian stir fry meal started that way. As did my fiesta rice and a few pasta meals I experimented with. It's pretty rewarding hearing a former roommate say "wow, you can cook!?"
My cooking tragedies
When I first began cooking in college, I set off the smoke detector almost every time I tried something new. It usually turned out tasting fine, but most often I would make a mess and something would drip in the hot oven or onto the hot burners creating a nice plume of smoke!
