I like to have as many green vegies in all meals, and for dinner to be quick, easy, nutritious .. and yum! My boyfriend and i really like spicy food - and have noticed that our tolerance has really built to chilli - we really have to tone it down when cooking for friends! Most of our meat is BBQ'd then added to the meal. And i try not to cook vegies - to retain their nutritional value.
My favorite things to cook
I love cous cous salads with bbq'd marinated meats, chilli con carne, lasagna ... and fish - any way it comes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum always cooked with health in mind. We never had salt in the house and always low fat alternatives. Yoghurt instead of sour cream, grilled not fried etc etc!
My cooking triumphs
I cooked a killer coq au vin once (is that spelt right?) but was a long fussy meal. I think my best meals are big BBQ's and salads, and i love cooking for family and friends
My cooking tragedies
Overcooking asparagus. Makes me cry every time! Oh and i left a big pot of chilli con carne on low simmer once - when i got home it was a big brick of charcoal - i had to throw it all out, pot and all!
