Chicken Pot Pie IX

It was bland. I like this recipe has lower calories than my usual "deep dish chicken PP". To nit-pick at the steps, I don't think making a pie like this should dirty up a pot and pan.. there's got to be an easier way.

Chef John's Caramel Chicken

My first Chef John's recipe ever.. This was a little time consuming for me.. I bought 3.5lbs of chicken and had a lot of trimming to do. I doubled the recipe for I was feeding 7 ppl. Turns out I didn't need all that sauce. Didn't have fish sauce or peanuts, but still flavorful. It went over a bed of brown rice. I will make this again!

Avocado Lime Cheesecake

Great lime pie... oh! that's right I did put avocado's in it too! I used half and half that was on hand, and used a 9 inch pie plate. This is awesome! Next time I make this, I will use the springform pan as another reviewer suggested since it IS rock-hard to cut. Yum-mi!!

Ham 'N' Cheese Quiche

My mother and my husband liked this. I didn't try this myself, although this is rated based on how fast people ate this, compared to another quiche someone brought to the Easter gathering.

Almond-Raspberry Meringue Bars

These were very easy to make! I used a full 16 oz. jar of raspberry jam, and for the crust I used almond filling instead of the paste. I couldn't get myself to purchase paste for $5.49, though the filling was good enough at $3.69 a can.

Coconut Lime Rice

I will use a half or small lime next time, the juice and zest together was too much. I had to sweeten the rice with some honey as the coconut wasn't balancing the flavor enough. Very good, will be making this again!

These are delicious, but they didn't hold together well. There's no way there is enough crumb mix to spread over a 15x10 pan, so I did it in a 9x13.

This is pretty good. I used one cup of piccolini pasta, rolled up some seasoned ground turkey as meatballs and plopped them in. It just felt like there wasn't enough in the soup. I might try this again.

Maureen's Mocha Cake

I used Bailey's Mint chocolate liquor, as what was on hand. The cake was a "little" dry, because of the burn off, of the alcohol. The frosting recipe was off... it was way too thick, so I ended up mixing in a 1/2 cup of butter and more coffee to the right consistency. Over all the flavors were present.

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

I used one cup of diced tomatoes with garlic and basil instead of salsa, I poured one packet of taco seasoning into the mix, reduced the broth to a half cup, and used jasmine rice (my favorite). It was a big hit with husband!

SMUCKER'S® Praline Bars

The crust is unbelievably hard, it's ridiculous. I have friends coming over for lunch and they will get crumbly bars? Nowhere it says to grease the pan, though you wouldn't think too since it IS mostly butter. Taste is good.
