I just cooked this tonight. Wow! It was hard to believe so much flavor with such little prepartion. I followed the recipe exactly as it should be done the first go around, then I will change anything to our taste if it is needed next time. Well let me tell ya, nothing had to be changed! This recipe is great as it is written. I would not change one thing. Anything that can make my husbands head turn to me and say, "This is really good, hon", is a keeper. This is one of the best bread pudding recipes here on the site. I have tried several, but keep coming back to this one because of its simplicity. I have used differant breads and then tried something differant. I had made a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls and had so many left over that I thought of using them in this recipe. All I changed was lowering the sugar to 1/3 cup because of so much sugar already in the cinnamon rolls. I made sure to add the raisins of course and my goodness, what a wonderful sweet surprise! These were very good. My husband tasted them and smiled at me. I followed the recipe exactly except for adding a teaspoon of cinnamon in with the flour mixture. This is a keeper!
