Sweet Restaurant Slaw
I've made this cole slaw several times and my family loves it! I just made a few changes/additions and am always asked to bring it to family gatherings, potlucks, etc. I used 1/2 c. chopped sweet onion(vadalia, if in season) and added 1/2 c. chopped fresh green peppers. I also add a cup of already packaged shreaded carrots. As far as the mayo, I used 1/2 Lite Miracle Whip and 1/2 Lite Hellman's totalling 2/3 cup. I also cut back on the sugar to 1/4 c. and cut back on the canola oil using only 1 TBSP instead of 3 TBSP. Ground pepper to taste. End result is an awesome and tangy coleslaw for a year-round side dish to any event or holiday!!

American Chop Suey II
I made this tonight for a quick dinner for my family. I remember growing up eating American Chop Suey! My daughter loves it when they serve it for school lunch so I thought I would make it. It turned out great! I did change/add ingredients according to my parent's recipe as well as the tastes of my girls. I used three cans of Healthy Request Campbell's soup, ground turkey instead of ground beef, added 3/4 c. of water or broth, and while browning the ground turkey, I threw in 3/4 c. frozen chopped bagged onion and 3/4 c. frozen bagged chopped green pepper (much faster!) I also put a few dashes of cayenne pepper and garlic powder to spice it up just a bit. Came out great; my family loved it. I will definitely make again!! Thank you April for submitting this recipe! Topping with alittle parmesan cheese was nice.
