I am a stay at home mom with 5 kids. I love it! My interests include spending time with my husband and children, walking the trails, swimming, gardening, crafts, cooking, and traveling. I truly love being a homemaker!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook almost anything. My husband loves my Bacon & Shrimp Pasta. I also cook alot of chicken and homemade soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
BIG family meals for the holidays. We have a traditional Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter dinner. We also have a Christmas Eve party with a movie and lots of appetizers. On St. Patricks Day we have Corned Beef & Cabbage.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking seems natural to me. I learned to cook by watching my mom. I always love trying a new recipe and having my husband and children like it. A triumph would be when I realized that I could make homemade soup and it tasted good!
My cooking tragedies
Not sure if it is a failure or not...made lemmon pepper chicken and my husband didn't like it. I think it was good, just not his thing.

Stuffed and Wrapped Chicken Breast
Loved this recipe. Very easy and quick, older kids can help with it. My husband has asked me to make this multiple times.

Mediterranean Vegetable Stew
Average but keep in mind that we are not used to eating vegitarian dishes.

Unbelievable Chicken
Thought it looked like a good recipe so we tried it. I followed the recipe exactly. It was wonderful, all of my 5 children loved it. Also made it for a dinner party for 15 people. Everyone said that they loved it and wanted to know what I put in the marinade. The chicken turns out quite tender. Love the fact that I prepare it the night before. I also cut the chicken breast in half so it is easier for the kids. We usually have it a few times a month.
