I've been cooking sice I was 8 years old. My mom didn't like to cook, but she could sew anything, so we traded, she would make my clothes and I would make dinner.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything. I like to try out new recipes on firends, then after I've made it according to the recipe, I make the changes I think will make a more interesting meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any.
My cooking triumphs
Usually, when I try a new recipe for friends, it comes out very well.
My cooking tragedies
Once I made soup and used a chicken bouillon I had never tried before and didn't realize it was so salty. My family all took one taste and didn't say much. I tasted it and told everyone not to eat any more it was took salty, so I took the soup, added more vegetables and water and then it was good.

Herbed Garlic Mashed Potatoes
I used two heads of garlic, a mixture of herbs I have basil, dill, marjoram, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, and I used a lot less milk. My family and I really liked it and I will make it again.

Tasty BBQ Corn on the Cob

Quinoa and Black Beans
I like black beans and quinoa so this was a fun recipe to try. I think I will spice it up a bit also and maybe add some tomatoes and black olives. I also only used 1 can of beans, it seemed to be enough.
