I live in the village where they film "Last of the Summer Wine". I work part time and I enjoy making jewellery, cards, sun catchers and unusual knitted or sewed brooches and ornamental things that will catch peoples eyes and not run of the mill. I would love to live near the sea or by a lake. I like "inventing" things from leftovers. Growing up in the late 50's nothing ever went to waste and my mother made wonderful meals. We always used leftovers but these days you can be so inventive. Making bread pudding using the ends of preserves and marmalades to give added flavour and making mini pies or tarts from leftover pastry. Any of my creations of no name were always known as a "Mothers invention" Baking and icing a 3 tier wedding cake. Christmas lunch. A "chip Butty" Using salt instead of castor sugar in a bread and butter pudding and custard when I cooked lunch for a bishop on my first day as his housekeeper!!!!
