About this Cook
Basically, I love to cook. I started out baking when I was about 8, give or take a few years. Now I'm 16 and I really love to bake and ocassionally cook for my family. I believe that if there's anything that can bring people together, its food.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy cooking just about anything. Whether its a simple recipe or a complex meal, I mainly just cook for enjoyment(and of course personal satisfaction:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, enough said.
My cooking tragedies
Well when I was a bit younger I had a sudden urge to make rice krispies. I had all the ingredients right, but little did I know you had to STIR it all together, not just toss it in a pan. Hey, I was learning! That is why I recommend parental guidance for young bakers :D

Grandma's Onion Rings (Southern Style)
Super yummy. I altered the recipe so I could make it with one onion instead of three and it still turned out delicious. Also added a little italian seasoning for a more interesting taste. This was my first time frying onion rings and it was well worth it!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie
I used fresh strawberries instead of frozen. I also used an organic yogurt which was something new for me, but delicious nonetheless. I didn't have any wheat germ so I put in a little flax seed instead. This was great and I'm definitely thinking about making it for breakfasts.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
This stroganoff is pretty amazing. No, its nothing fancy, but its great for a those nights when you don't have time to cook anything. My family has eaten this several times and its much better than any old Hamburger Helper stroganoff.
