About this Cook
I'm 25 years old and LOVE to cook! I'm married and have 3 children, 2 boys ages 8 months and 4 years, and 1 girl age 9. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family. I also enjoy growing fruits and vegetables in my garden and canning them.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking anything new and different. I love spicey mexican, Itaian, and grilled foods most of all. I like learning and experimenting with new recipes. I love variety.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I would have to say my favorite cooking tradition would definately be canning pickles. YUM! My favorite. :)
My cooking triumphs
Dill pickles, spaghetti, Mexi Chicken, Cube Steak Parmesean, Chicken Bacon Ranch Pinwheels, Italian Salami Pinwheels, loaded baked potato salad, a whole lemon pepper chicken cooked in a smoker, smoked hot wings, grilled hot and spicy chicken breasts and thighs, deviled eggs, salsa, upside down pizza, zucchini in a sour cream sauce, ravioli, meatballs, and the list goes on.
My cooking tragedies
I don't have anything to put here as of yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed. :)

Bacon Wrapped Chicken
This is absolutely delish! Although I have never made the full recipe, it is one of my favorites. I leave out the cream sauce and serve as a finger food with tooth picks. Thanks for the great recipe! This chicken is the best!!

Black Bean and Salsa Soup
I must say this is THE BEST soup I have EVER tasted. I LOVE spicy foods and this is just amazing!!! I used my own homemade salsa. I also used chicken broth instead of vegetable broth, and 3 cans of beans instead of 2. I added 4 cloves of garlic, a little onion, 1 can of rotel, lime juice, cilantro, ground red pepper, and 1 seeded red chile pepper to the blend. Then I added a can of corn and the extra can of beans to the saucepan while heating. I topped it with sour cream, green onion, and shredded cheddar. WOW! I expected it to be good, but it was awesome. I would give it 10 stars if I could! Thanks! This is definately a keeper!

Zucchini in Sour Cream Sauce
This is absolutely wonderful! I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. I'm not a big fan of zucchini and was looking for a really tasty recipe to try using it. I added some garlic and modified the ingredient amounts a bit. I used a chicken bouillon cube instead of the granules and I also used lemon pepper seasoning instead of lemon juice and it turned out perfect! I have already made this dish twice and the second time I served it over some rice. I'm sure it would also be good served over pasta. It was excellent, a huge hit with the family. Even my 9 year-old picky eater enjoyed it.
