Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread
I tried this last night. It was great. I used frozen rolls and thawed them enough to cut in half, drenced them in the egg mixture and let them rise in a pre-heated and turned off 200 degree oven. I used garlic powder and instead of salt, I used garlic-parsley salt. I served this with a homemade vegetable soup. This would be fun to experiment with--maybe use another kind of cheese, make it a sweet roll with brown sugar and nuts or raisins?

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
I made this yesterday. Didn't have frozen corn so I used fresh and used green enchilada sauce because that's what I had in the house. I also used 2 large frozen boneless chicken breasts. As soon as the chicken was "shreddable" I did and let it soak in the soup until we were ready to eat. Didn't have tortilla's so I used french bread and topped the soup with sour cream. The soup had a sweet taste from the sweet corn. Not a bad thing but if you don't like a little sweetness, use regular frozen or canned corn. Tried this recipe again with regular enchilada sauce,3 chicken breasts and added a can of red beans. Both versions were 5 stars but we preferred the green enchilda sauce.

Basil, Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich
My sis came to visit from out of town so I picked up the ingredients, fresh french loaves and some of the things the other reviewers mentioned and had this for dinner. Some of the traditionalist added ham, turkey or beef and the more daring went with the basic recipe or added roasted red peppers, onions, mushrooms cooked with garlic and/or black olives. It was great and if you decide not to use one of the ingredients don't let it be the basil. I will definitely serve this again when I want to show off. 5 plus stars!
