Banana Banana Bread
Banana bread came out wonderful & was very simple to make with everyday ingredients. I followed the recipe exactly, with the exception of adding nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. I also made a streusel topping, which was added before baking. I've made this banana bread twice, with & without the streusel, & my family likes it much more with the topping. Here's what I used. --1/2 cup brown sugar --1 Tablespoon white sugar --1 Tablespoon flour --1 teaspoon cinnamon --1/4 teaspoon nutmeg --2 Tablespoons butter --1/4 chopped almonds This streusel gave the banana bread a very nice brown sugar-y crust, without overpowering the flavor of the banana. I recommend using this if you want to jazz up the original recipe. Overall, this was a great recipe that's definitely going to stay in my recipe box. <3
