Cooking: collects my thoughts, calms me down, makes me feel rich, is my favorite way to share with my friends and care for myself and others. I always know that I like someone when I feel the urge to cook for them.
My favorite things to cook
Warm and comforting dishes. I am a soup maven. I love making soups from from scratch or doctoring something store bought by adding fresh ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions

My cooking triumphs
Helping to cook for the thousands left homeless by the 1989 San Francisco earthquake.
My cooking tragedies
