Mincemeat II
My grandparents never canned it. They put this in a crock and let it age with boubon and brandy. They made it in October and let it "marry" until the holidays.

Mincemeat and Pumpkin Layer Pie
I used to make this recipe back in the 80's and I am so happy to see it again. It is the perfect blend of a lot of pumpkin and touch of old fashioned mincemeat. Start a new tradition and make the mincemeat out of your green tomtoes. My kids love mincemeat day. I spiced the pumpkin with 1/2 teas. ginger and 1/teas. allspice.

Butternut Squash, Apple, Onion Au Gratin
It sure seems like the combination of apples and squash should be good but for me it is not. I think that the cheese may be the culprit. I tried all of the suggestions from others but for me it didn't work. My chickens thought that it was quite good though.
