Grew up in San Antonio, Texas. Learned to Bar B Que from my perfectinous Dad and cook sampling my Mother's recipes. Started a family and then had to get the hell out of the city due to all the drive by shooting and those punk gang members vandalizing everything in sight. So off to the country we go. And haven't missed the city at all. Lovi'n it here. I like taking a walk through the woods on the ranch, fishing, siiting back with a drink in hand and a good R/P cigar.
My favorite things to cook
Brisket, ribs, hamburgers, chili, country bacon green beans, shrimp scampi,any mexican food (Have a killer carne guisada recipe) and of course my fish...any kind Bass, catfish, Balsa, flouder, salmon, talapia...you get the picture.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holidays I do the brisket and make my Mom's traditional recipe Country Bacon Green Beans, that I've carried on since my parents passing. Boy does that bacon and green onions make those green beans come alive mmm mmm. And the brisket secret is great too. Someday I'll post it so you too can win Brisket cook offs.
