Fantastic quick and easy recipe. I try to get all that I can out of my grains so I used brown rice and it turned out fabulous. I will definately makes this again and again!!

Wonderful! I made the dumplings to go in my own soup recipe. There was maybe 1/4 of a cup of flour left in the bag..I just threw it in. I did use self rising as I live in The Netherlands and baking soda is hard to find. I found the dumplings very delicious and not at all hard. They also did not tast like flour. After reading that some people found the dough too sticky, I simply made sure that my surface for kneading the dough and rolling it out was very well floured. It worked well. My dutch husband preferred them over the doughy dumplings that I usually make and he loved those. Dumplings in my house will be these from now on!!

Fantastic! I just made this recipe with dried parsley and oregano since I didn't have any fresh, I also sliced a red onion, brushed it with olive oil and grilled the slices in a grill pan, cut the slices in half and tossed with the peppers. I have tasted it already and cant wait till hubby gets home to serve dinner. Will be serving this tonight, cold, with grilled salmon and toasted homemade sourdough bread. I like that this can be made ahead as we entertain often and will be a great dish for entertaining!

I live in the Netherlands and cant find sourdough bread here. I was really craving some grilled sandwiches on sourdough bread. I used this recipe, minus the onions, with the starter from Ester Nelson. It was great! This was my first attempt at bread making and I couldn't believe how easy it was. Thank you for sharing.
