BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This is a super easy recipe. BBQ sauce is so important. I used Stub's bbq sauce & found that it lacked flavor. For some reason it didn't compliment the pork the way I thought it would...Yeah, go figure? Cooking in the oven for 30 minutes makes the edges nice and krisp. So, next time I will use regular Kraft & will cook in the oven a little longer for more krispness.

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
I was looking for a bbq pulled pork recipe when I saw this recipe & decided to try it with pork. I used a 8.5 Ibs pork butt & tripled the recepe. It was alot of rub, but I only had to use about half of it. I didn't have any dry thyme so I used 1 tbls of fresh thyme instead. I only used 2 cups of bbq sauce...regular Kraft works great. I cooked it on low for 16 hours, flipping once. The pork turned out delicious & super tender! Awesome recipe...thanks!

Frog Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
The Frog Cupcakes were a huge hit at my 2 year old son's birthday...the kids loved eating the face off & really enjoyed the eyes! After reading many reviews, I decided to make the cupcakes a day before & then decorate them the next day. My mom & sister helped me with decorating them & we did 36 cupcakes in less than 1 hour. So easy & simple, but if you're doing a lot of cupcakes...get help!!!

Taco Seasoning I

This recipe came out perfect with great flavor! I love that I can make great tasting tacos without all the sodium from the pre-packaged mix. I used the seasoning to make chicken tacos & they were delicious!

BBQ Tuna Fritters

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
This recipe is super easy & quick to make. I used 2/3 bread crubs for the oats since I didn't have any onhand & left out the green onions and savory. The flavor was nice & sweet. Next time I will try with 12 oz. can tuna, 2 tbls bbq, 1 extra egg white, garlic powder & all season salt for a little bit more tuna flavor.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
My mom is from Hawaii & we only get to eat Kalua pig when we go visit family there, which isn't very often. So when I saw this recipe & how easy it was I had to try it. This recipe is absolutely delicious!!! I made a few adjustments...9 lbs Pig Butt Roast, 1 1/2 tbls Hawaiian Salt, & 3 tbls Liquid Smoke. Cook for 20 hours, flip once. The Hawaiian Salt was easy to find at Wholefoods...it's a pink color. The roast fills my whole crock pot & makes the best juices to put over rice or to cook cabbage in. (I take all the juice from the roast & put it in the frige. Once the fat is on top I scoop it out to cut down on fat.) Thanks for this awesome recipe!
