About this Cook
I was born in Rhode Island and moved to Connecticut when I was 10. (NAVYBRAT) I am married and and now live in Cleveland Tennessee. I have 3 grown children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I love to cook and try new recipes which I do in my spare time, which I have lots of since my husband is an over the road truck driver. I work full time.
My favorite things to cook
I love seafood and I love Italian cooking. I love to make my own sauce and I love to make Veal Parmesan. I have tried just about every recipe that Giada has made on Everyday Italian. I LOVE Clam Cakes and Chowder which we always had when I was a kid from Rocky Point in Rhode Island. I have tried a couple of time to make it. Needs more practice
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies. When my children were small we always had a whole day at Chritmastime that we made cookies and now I do the same and my children do the same with my grandchildren
My cooking triumphs
Ever watch Dinner Impossible? Well I cooked for 40 people and it came out fantastic. I made Garlic Salmon with rice and fresh roasted asparagus. It was a complete success
My cooking tragedies
I made a stuffed tenderloin roast which was a disaster. Stuffing it was the hardest thing and just was not good. Guess I will try again sometime
