About this Cook
I'm a 21 year old Dutch girl, working as a volunteer in London for the year. Because we share the cooking in the community, we all have to prepare dinner once or twice a week. I love cooking, especially baking, and when I have time I always try to make a dessert whenever I'm cooking. I'm also a vegetarian since October 08, and I'm trying to find new exciting recipes whenever I'm cooking something.
My favorite things to cook
Curries, lasagne, cakes
My favorite family cooking traditions
Trying something new :)
My cooking triumphs
Making my first layered cake was quite exciting! Especially when it turned out good. Also cooking for a lot of people (around 80) was a challenge.
My cooking tragedies
Muffins. Ready mixed? Yeah, but otherwise they always turn out bad. (While other cakes aren't any problem at all. hmmm I wonder why?)

Mexican Cucumber Salad
Very good salad, I substituted Balsamic vinegar (because it's what we had at home) and fresh coriander instead of dried. It tastes wonderful just made, but it's even better if you leave it in the fridge for a while.
