About this Cook
I am an adventuresome cook. Rarely do I cook a recipe without adding or subtracting. I have lived in the country for years and raised much of my own food. LOVE fresh eggs. My family and friends always insist I cook my "famous" Jambalaya for family get togethers.
My favorite things to cook
Anything good. Love pies, turkey and a really good pork tenderloin.
My cooking triumphs
For the 4th of July one year we dug a pit in the back yard and buried and cooked a whole hog and 5 turkeys. The pork was tender, juicy and wonderful, but the surprise was the turkey. They were the talk of the party. They came out so juicy it would run down your chin. The meat had a tremendous flavor and fell off the bones.
My cooking tragedies
I invited my best friend & her family in for Thanksgiving and I must have been so excited about them coming that I forgot to turn the oven on before we went for a drive in the country. Needless to say we were eating at 10 pm.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef
My mother made this dish often only she served it over boiled potatoes and called it hamburger gravy. Has been and always will be a family favorite. My recipe is the same minus the worcestershire sauce, but that gives it a little zest.
