I'm a small-town girl who now lives in a "big small-town". My husband and I have been together for 13 years, and we have three wonderful children. My family is everything to me!
My favorite things to cook
Pasta--I like to go wild, throwing all kinds of stuff in, but for now, I have to keep it mellow, since my kids are picky eaters.
I love baking but don't need the extra treats around--I'm weak-willed!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We do a "pasta cook-off" every year with my brother-in-law, and that's a lot of fun. He and I are the best cooks!
We also do a "progressive dinner" every year for Christmas, and that's a great time as well.
My cooking triumphs
I hosted an event at home a year ago and made all sorts of snacks and treats and displayed them beautifully. I was proud of myself that day!
My cooking tragedies
Quiche--I confused evaporated milk for condensed milk, so the quiche was sweet; plus, instead of swiss cheese, I used pepper-jack; lastly, instead of regular breakfast sausages, I put in the spicy kind. It was sweet and spicy at the same time--not good!
