English Trifle
I turned a failed cake (didn't rise) into a nice desert using this recipe. The crowd enjoyed it. I think that adding some liqueur would be a nice touch.

Bean Soup With Kale
I love homemade soup and this is one you can throw together on a weeknight without much trouble. I agree with some of the other reviewers about the salt. I added 1 tsp. salt and found that I didn't need that much due to the salt from the beans (I used low sodium chicken broth).

Triple the Ginger Cookies
Very good cookies. My first pan did not cook very evenly. The second pan came out perfect. Next time I will let the pan containing the balls of dough come closer to room temperature before baking.
