What Does This Mean?

I was looking at "submit a recipe" and I saw the recipes they are looking for (Latin is right up my alley!).
I also scrolled down to the bottom of the page and saw "Did Your Recipe Make the Site?"  What does mean?
Do they publish all submitted recipes or just certain ones that they are looking for at that time?
An example is if I wanted to submit a recipe for Strawberry cake and they are looking for Southern and Latin will they still publish it?

Thank you for your answers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they will publish (or look at) the stuff they are looking for first before other recipes that are submitted.

It sometimes takes years to get a recipe published. I know of several people, myself included, with recipes we submitted at least two years ago, some even longer. I think they put priority on the special categories, but if a recipe hits the right note with them, they'll accept it. When they accept a recipe, you'll get a "thumbs-up" icon next to the recipe title in you submitted recipes folder; once that happens it's usually public within a couple of weeks, although sometimes that takes a litte longer as well. I was told by an AR editor that they currently have 93,000 recipes to go through. Whew. Anyway, good luck, and hope to see your recipe published!

Wow. If it takes that long to publish a recipe and they are that picky with what they publish I don't think I will submit anything. Just isn't worth the time or the trouble. I'll stick to my other recipe site, you submit they publish as long as it isn't a duplicate. Thank you all for answering.

Hi kberry! The link that you saw was to check the status of your recipe. :) When you click on the 'Submit' button after entering a recipe, it does not automatically get posted to our site. Each one must be checked to be sure it isn't already copyrighted, and then they are edited and matched to our nutrition database. We also check to ensure that we keep a good balance of recipes on the site. Recipes are chosen based on seasonality, originality and ability to meet the needs of users. We definitely review all of the recipes that are submitted, and as some of the other members noted, it can take awhile. We are dedicated to improving this process in 2009, so thank you for your patience!!

About Me
I live on a farm with my husband. We have a few cows and lots of chickens. I make it a habit as well as a point to learn something new each year in more than one area. I am usually self taught. Last year I learned to quilt. This year I will learn a new pattern. As for gardening, I like to plant at least one new thing each year. This year, onions and garlic. We love to travel and will be going on our first cruise next year. I can't wait I am so excited. I love to collect recipes and always try new things. Life gets pretty boring if you don't try and just stick to the same old things all the time.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Mexican food. I think that is the best food in the world. As long as I can substitute mild for hot I am good. Always willing to try a new dish. I also found that I like to marinate meat. Bill; my husband does all the grilling.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Each year we host the July party at our place. We figure out a theme for the party and go from there. We don't care what the food is as long as it's good. This year fried chicken and my best potato salad. On all get-together's my family usually has me make the most of the food but now I go to them and help them to make the food.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to preserve our garden harvest and making jams and jellies. I am still learning to make the jams and jellies. Last year I tried canning chicken. Would have turned out better had I used younger (much younger) birds.
My cooking tragedies
When a recipe does not come out right and you have a house full of guests. I have done this a few times but usually can figure out what the problem was and try not to do it again the next time.
