Bread pumpkin pie and million dollar salad for Christmas We have a cabin with a woodburning stove. Learning to cook on it is my triumph. The bread is incredible. Warming ovens make a great way to have everything hot. I love the winter months that are cool enough to use Little Bertha Todd! I spent all afternoon making real, from scratch lasagne. We had a German foreight exchange student who had been with us just a month or so. The lasagne was hot and heavy and I only had on one glove. I dumped it at his feet while taking it from the oven. We had take out pizza instead.
