Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Definitely a hit with the whole family- the only change I made was to put the jalpenos on the side. Without those, it was pretty tame, heat-wise.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

This was surprisingly good considering how simple it was to make. I left out the green peppers because I didn't have any on hand. I will make this again.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Love this! I used two cans of filling, with cinnamon and nutmeg, and added a cream cheese/sugar mix to the enchilada first! Everyone gave this rave reviews!

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
Delightful! I used a cookie scoop to get consistency in the size. They turn out to be about 2 1/2in. cooked. I put the frosting in a ziplock and piped it on for easy. Tastes like the Oreo cakesters. Yum!

It was kind of an odd combination for biscotti- still tasty though.

Better Than Sex Cake I

Really good and really easy. This recipe was actually on the side of the german cake mix box. Also, I used butterfinger since we prefer that.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
The flavor was decent, but a little too much punch for the family's taste. I even cut the vinegar in half and replaced it with broth. I guess you have to have a preference for the vinegar.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
This is an absolute favorite at our house now! I just have to make sure and double the recipe- everyone wanted seconds! Quick tip: if you don't want to take the time to peel and chop the potatoes, use shredded hashbrowns.

Chocolate Chip Pie III

This didn't turn out anything like the picture. All the chocolate chips sank to the bottom so it was like a huge chocolate chip without the cookie.

This was amazing! I threw everything into the crockpot, including two cans of beans. I ended up mashing an additional can of beans to thicken it up. Super tasty topped with shredded provel cheese. Yum!

Fabulous and super easy! I did brown the chops before I baked it, but I doubt I needed to. I bet this would be good with chicken too.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
This beef really does melt in your mouth like butter....IF you have good beef. I've made this twice now- the first time I used beef we had gotten from a 1/4 cow we had purchased and it was HEAVEN! I did brown the meat beforehand and added some browning sauce to the pan. I also threw in a pint of sliced fresh mushrooms. The second time I made it exactly the same way, but I used some beef that I had purchased at Wal-Mart. Still tasty, but HUGE difference in the texture. If you can afford it and you have room to store it, buy a portion of a cow. They don't add fillers to the meat at the butcher's like they do in stores.
