About this Cook
I once ate an entire bag of Lays Baked Potato Chips for dinner. Of course, I had a good beer to go with it. Blue Heron Pale Ale. When my foodie husband came over to my place when we first started dating, he noticed I had no food in the fridge. But when he saw the Blue Heron, he knew I was a woman of good taste.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that is super simple and has ingredients I already have on hand. I want to get the basics right first, since I'm learning from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stack family Sugar Cookies (the cut-out kind). I'm pretty good at baking those.
My cooking triumphs
So far, I can do a reliable bean soup, meatloaf, and tilipia entree.
My cooking tragedies
Hmmm...rather not remind myself of those. ;)

Hungarian Goulash II
I totally loved this recipe! I am brand new to cooking dinners. I even botched this up--by leaving it in the slow cooker too long--and it's not really botched at all! I just added a little bit of water to the over thickened sauce, and it was all set and ready to go. I'm so happy I found something even I can't mess up!!
