A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2001
Very very good. I made muffins instead of cake/bread. I used whole milk in place of the buttermilk. My 1 year old loved them and wanted them for breakfast lunch and dinner. Thanks for the recipe.

Dos Queso Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2001
YUMMY! Very good and easy to make. My 1 year old loved it. It was her first taste of queso dip. I left out the oregano and the salt and pepper. It has a lot of flavor on its own. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It would also make a great topping/sauce for burritos.

Aloo Gobi ki Subzi (Potatoes and Cauliflower)

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2001
Thank you so much for this recipe! I added some garlic powder and substituted canned chopped tomatoes in place of the fresh. I have tried to order this recipe in restaurants but it never seems to look/taste the way I like it. Finally, I found what I was looking for. Thanks again!

Baked Beans I

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2001
These beans were delicious!! I used vegetarian baked beans and omitted the worcestershire sauce and it turned out wonderful. My "meat eating" husband was skeptical at first but LOVED them. This is a keeper...thanks for the recipe.

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2001
We loved this easy to make casserole! I assembled the casserole the night before. The next morning I added the tator tots and cheese and cooked it. We covered it, wrapped it in a big towel and took it to work where it was nice and hot. Instead of mushrooms, I used green peppers and although everyone gave us compliments at work some people said they did not care for green peppers. Next time I make it for a large group of people, I will make it very plain (no vegetables). For my family, we like the works! Thanks for the recipe and thanks everybody for the "tips and substitutions" on this recipe.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2001
My husband begged me to make this bread for him and when I did, he loved it! Thanks for the great recipe. We have taken it to work several times and received rave reviews. I always carry home an empty pan.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2001
Way to fattening and greasy!!! I made half of the recipe so I could make 1 quiche instead of 2 (based on the previous reviews). My husband liked it at first but then by the second piece said he felt sick. I couldn't even eat one piece. I don't like anything that tastes to "eggy" and/or greasy. My husband and I eat high fat food more than we should but neither of us could handle this quiche! Sorry, I won't be making it again.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2001
Where did I go wrong? I followed the recipe exactly and my muffins tasted horrible. They didn't cook all the way through so I kept putting them back in the oven. The tops were very brown but there was a middle line of runniness. The crumb topping was more of a spread. My husband wouldn't even try them because he was afraid of their looks. I tasted them and they needed more sugar or something! Sorry, I won't be trying this recipe again.
