I'm a software engineer with a passion for food. I think most of it comes from a love of art and painting really. Food is art to me. I love to cook just about anything. Steaks and seafood are probably my favorite but I also like to go global. Thai and Russian\Eastern European are probably my favorite non-American cuisines. My grandparents came to Canada after being Germans living in Russia so I was exposed to all sorts of food growing up. Borsch is one of my favorite foods and I love making it. Any meal cooked to what I think is perfection is a triumph for me. The steak au poivre recipe I have posted has been the most common reason for me to close my eyes and just think "oh man this is good." There have been many.
