I am too old to give my age in 'polite' company (LOL). I work as a Customer Service Rep. for one of the largest Package Transportation services in the work (sorry 'brown'). I enjoy cooking, both as a way to work off stress (kneading bread .. best thing in the work in working out aggressions with "customers"), and a means of expressing 'love' to friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
Healthy, economical foods are taking a priority these days. I enjoy experimenting with Quinoa and edemame. Also enjoy using my slow-cooker for creating dishes I can take for lunch all week,
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Dad made the BEST Macaroni and Cheese...but loaded with cheese, butter, fat etc. I still make it on occasion when I have a "Comfort Food" craving - but just a little these days-it's so rich!
My cooking triumphs
My Slow-Cooker BBQ Chicken (thighs mostly); it's gotten rave reviews at every potluck I have brought it to.
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at making Wheat Bread, it resembled a concrete brick (hey I was only 12!!); I still think about that as I knead bread today (not too much!! No matter how much 'aggression' therapy I need!!)
